Pastor George Bryan Irabor has had over twenty years ministry experience, especially in the area of prayer. He has consistently stressed the importance of more fervent prayers through his sermons from the pulpit and his Radio ministry because of his belief that fellowship with God in prayer will give you an understanding of who you are in Christ, it brings revival, powerful evangelism, maturity of church folk and true success in ministry. Pastor George (as he's fondly called), has a great passion to mobilize and train faithful prayer warriors in local churches in order to prepare their hearts for the coming revival and awakening of the Holy Spirit. He believes that God has called him to Boston and New England to mobilize prayer warriors to prepare churches for soul winning. His calling is to challenge western churches so that they may realize the power of prayer and how this has transformed and evangelized many countries (including his own country, Nigeria). He is a recognized voice when it comes to prayer in New England and has often led by example.
Long before the inception of Fountain of Grace Church, Pastor George had founded and run Prayer ministries like Contact Club in Nigeria and Fire Aflame Ministries in Boston, MA. Fire Aflame Ministries for example started in the year 2000 with weekly prayer meetings at his house. The meeting had to be moved to a bigger venue as attendance grew. Notable ministers have come to Boston to minister through the invitation of Fire Aflame Ministries. In 2003, the Lord impress upon Pastor George's heart that there was a need for an increased spread in the Word of God in the body of Christ around the world. This impression continued to increase in his heart up until January 2005, when the Lord gave the release for the movement to begin in the Boston area through a ministry the Lord called "Fountain of Grace". Pastor George inquired of the Lord why this should be and the Lord responded, "Let His grace be a fountain in the lives of His people and let color be added to their lives", hence the dictum "Bringing Color to Life".
Fountain of Grace Church is a body of Spirit filled believers tasked with making Christ known to the world. The Church's purpose is to lead people into living a fulfilled Christian life; to build themselves to engage in the work of the kingdom in order to reach out to the oppressed, by extending the love of Christ to the lost resulting in them experiencing the presence of Christ and finally glorifying the supremacy of Christ in their day to day lives. The Church's vision is to establish a strong Holy Spirit filled church that will teach, heal, deliver, discipline, counsel and plant Churches starting with home cell groups. The primary purpose is to worship, serve and be a people of prayer.
Pastor George has kept up his love and passion for the ministry of prayer despite the challenges and demands that come with pastoring a church. This was made even more evident in January 2009 when he wrote and published his first book titled "Elements of Positive Prayers". He continues to duplicate this passion for prayer in others by his recent decision to take a few men with him on his personal monthly prayer retreats as the Holy Spirit wills. Pastor George is happily married to Pastor Gloria and they are blessed with four children: Bright, IK, Emeka and Caleb.
